Hi, I’m africa!
I’m a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant/Loctician serving the Southern California region.
Since I was a teenager, I always had a strong fascination and love for Natural Hair, and the process of Loc’ing. I also always, wanted to grow my own hair really long, but always had issues achieving that due to relaxers, heat damage, and damaging styles. Once I discovered the vast world of Loc’s, I was finally able to achieve the length and health that I always dreamed of.
When I was 15 years old, I started researching about all things locs, as well as gushing over other family members and celebrities, (shout out Lauryn Hill). It was then, that I decided to go natural, and to get locs. I started out with traditional locs for 8 years, and then went on the Sisterlocks TM journey after.
I attended the Sisterlocks TM training program back in 2008, and haven’t looked back since. I have also taken continuing education courses in Braids/Twists to expand the services that I can provide. It is a passion and honor of mine to be entrusted by my clients, to support them on there loc journeys.
